Relying on a deep catalog of original material from 1999's Life In the Day of..., their 2004 debut album Sensational Bad News, the new 2006 album Unrefined, plus dozens of new and previously unrecorded songs, the band has stretched and plied each song into an amazing journey of experimentation and improvisation. Since solidifying the current lineup in June 2005, the band has recorded hundreds of hours of rehearsals and live performances and has turned into one of the Midwest's preeminent jambands, all the while charming the listener with wry and engaging tales of love, loss, longing, politics, sex and hippie nihilism - with a beat.
